Tower helps bring diabetes to light

PORTSMOUTH'S Spinnaker Tower will turn blue next month to help mark World Diabetes Day.
The tower will be lit up in the colour on November 13 as part of a worldwide bid to raise awareness of the condition which affects more than 250 million people worldwide.
Other events to mark the occasion include a World Diabetes Day coffee morning at Bedhampton Social Hall.
Sarah Bone, from Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation, said: 'Every act of celebration, from the largest public event to an individual act, will help bring diabetes to light.'
