Cure "Type 1" Diabetes

Сообщение admin »

It is very difficult to cure diabetes when insulin dependent diabetic children wrongly believe that they have type 1 diabetes, when in reality they have type 2 diabetes (insulin resistance) because they were not told by healthcare professionals about the stimulated C-Peptide test. Those in healthcare and in diabetes advocacy groups should have given diabetics this information but instead diabetics are being wrongly misled and confused to believe they have type 1 diabetes, just because they use insulin. This is very convenient to insulin manufacturers and Endocrinologists who have mostly one class of patients (presumeably for life) unlike other medical professions which have broad classes of diseases to treat for a short period of time. Stem-cells or Islet cell transplants will NOT cure insulin resistance, also known as type 2 diabetes. Many basic questions about diabetes have remained unasked and unanswered over the past 30 years.

Background:
The existence of type 2 diabetes and insulin dependency is a statistical black hole.
Whereas "Up to 1 million Americans have type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disorder that destroys insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, while an estimated 16 million Americans have type 2 diabetes, in which the body does not sufficiently produce or process enough insulin. Type 2 diabetes is often related to obesity, and it is rising rapidly among men and women of all ages. *Type 2 diabetes is also on the rise among children, for whom it was once extremely rare. Modest weight loss, increased exercise, and a healthy diet can decrease the risk of type 2 diabetes and help manage its complications."

Whereas "Type 1 Diabetes is currently diagnosed with a causal plasma glucose concentration of greater than or equal to 200 mg/dl with symptoms of diabetes (frequent urination, excessive thirst, and unexplained weight loss) OR a fasting plasma glucose of greater than or equal to 126. (American Diabetes Association: Clinical Practice Recommendations 2004, Page S9)" and "If further testing is needed to verify a type 1 diabetes diagnosis, testing for markers of immune destruction of beta cells in the pancreas include islet cell autoantibodies, autoantibodies to glutamic acid decarboxylase and autoantibodies to the tyrosine phosphatases. (American Diabetes Association: Clinical Practice Recommendation 2004, Page S6) As these tests are extremely expensive, they are not done on a routine basis and are rarely covered by third party reimbursement."

Why are over 1 million Americans classified as having "juvenile" or "type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disorder that destroys insulin-producing cells in the pancreas"? (When they have never been C-Peptide tested.)
Was type 2 among children once extremely rare or do over 1 million Americans have the wrong diagnosis?
Whereas "...*that as the numbers of young children are increasing that present with symptoms of diabetes, C-peptide testing is being utilized more frequently to delineate type 1 from type 2. However, C-Peptide testing does not yet appear to be a routine part of standard of care in the diagnosis of diabetes. In addition, as you correctly stated, the American Diabetes Association's current nomenclature uses Type 1 or Type 2."

Why has the C-Peptide test which has existed since the early 1970's not been utilized?
When the question is asked: Have most juvenile, insulin dependent, and type 1 diabetics been individually C-Peptide tested? The answer will be: NO. It will be surprising to most non-diabetics and diabetics alike that Endocrinology (the study of glands) often does not check the pancreas (a gland.)
It is wrong to automatically assume that juvenile, insulin dependent, or "type 1" diabetes is caused by a problem with the pancreas. Type 2 diabetes means that the pancreas works and even produces insulin above normal levels (also known as insulin resistance). Type 2 diabetes is not caused by the pancreas. Proving type 2 diabetes disproves type 1 diabetes.
Juvenile diabetes is an outdated term that should no longer be valid with the C-Peptide test. The C-Peptide test is virtually unknown to most diabetics although it has existed since the early 1970's.
Whereas "A C-peptide test is often used as one of several criteria to diagnosis Metabolic Syndrome. It appears to be a better indicator of pre-diabetes..."

Type 2 diabetes is not caused by the pancreas, it is caused by insulin resistance and it could be reversed.
Solution:
We feel it is time that all healthcare professionals be trained in nutrition.
The stimulated C-Peptide test will make more accurate statistical information become available by establishing a correct diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, which will help the cause of prevention and focusing on an appropriate cure.
We feel that diabetics, especially young children, are being exploited by systemic flaws in medicine and research.
We hope you will agree with us that all diabetics have an inalienable right to be given accurate medical facts and hope, which are necessary preconditions to health and healing.
We feel that it is time that diabetic children and their families be freed from the evil lie of "type 1" diabetes and to give them new hope that their health condition is actually within reach of a cure because they actually still produce enough of their own insulin. It is time that all insulin dependent, juvenile, and so-called "type 1" diabetics be Stimulated C-Peptide Tested or at least be informed about the existence of this test. And that by exposing this it will result in more targeted research which will benefit all diabetics.
